Asus products can be updated to Android 5.0 at the earliest. The company 's vice president said, " Asus is very close to Google so its products can be upgraded to the first Jelly Bean ." According to Slashgear , Padfone may be one of the earliest Android 5.0 devices. In addition, Taiwanese manufacturer's "Prime" Transformer Prime tablet model is also expected to be on Jelly Bean first.

The first tablet model on the market updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is also the Asus Transformer Prime. Meanwhile, Google has never launched any Nexus tablet model running Ice Cream Sandwich.
