One feature already available in the old Yahoo Mail version is the application support from third-party add-ins to provide more new features. For example, Automatic Organizer of OtherInbox is quite similar to Gmail Priority Inbox. All My Receipts organize and categorize non-priority messages as YouSendIt's newsletters, offers, coupons and applications that allow you to send large files.
Yahoo Mail has a great feature that Gmail and Hotmail are still missing: When you open multiple e-mails, they will appear in separate tabs to make it easier to transfer to other e-mail in the mailbox. This new version has disabled the e-mail preview window in the inbox (but you can turn it on if you want).
The interface of Yahoo Mail is a bit uncomfortable, especially the color of the application bar along with Yahoo's large logo above. You can choose different themes for Yahoo Mail, but they are mostly different colors.
A similar note is that you might want to remove the TRENDING NOW text in the upper right corner because it links to information that is not related to your e-mail somewhere on Yahoo.
Like Hotmail, Yahoo Mail is creating problems by cramming ads into an area on the right hand side. That causes distraction, these ads often distract and make performance less efficient than Gmail when using text ads only. You can remove these ads for $ 20 a year.
Users expect Yahoo Mail to mimic Gmail's idea of storing and quickly accessing messages in the mailbox. You can also do this by creating an Archieve folder.
This version of Yahoo Mail has been the most improved in recent years, and this may be one of the reasons for the increasing dominance of Gmail users in particular in the US (both Yahoo Mail and Homail are has a larger number of users than Gmail. But it can't affect all Gmail users because after all, Yahoo Mail doesn't try to bring out the most special features (especially when you compare it to GmailLabs tests) but the interface is coherent and less messy.
Will I give up Gmail to use Yahoo Mail? The answer is: ' Not now '. I am currently using Google Apps storage features, so I can create my own Gmail domain name interface and integrate e-mail with GoogleDocs. Another reason is, I really like the mobile version of Gmail on iPhone, iPad, phone and tablet running Android. I have also used the smart feature of Google Voice with Gmail integration (which is the only way to call and listen to Google Voice calls on a computer). And there are many interesting things in Gmail, such as being able to watch PDF files directly.
Although not yet converted, I'm still impressed with Yahoo Mail. Perhaps, I will forward my e-mail account to Yahoo Mail so that I can ' dig ' more. It's great to see that both Yahoo and Microsoft are making their commitments to consolidate better Webmail services for users. Over the past few years, it seems that Google is the only company that realizes the potential of Webmail but this service has been much better in the past .
