Microsoft will officially stop supporting Windows Phone, and check your device deadline
In 2015, Microsoft launched Windows 10 and pledged to support all versions of the platform along with bug fixes, monthly cumulative updates and other important security updates.
After launching the first version of Windows 10 Mobile (1511), Microsoft continues to provide users with major updates including Anniversary Update (1607), Creators Update (1703), and most recently and also The last update was Fall Creators Update (1709).
Microsoft has canceled all further development work for Windows 10 Mobile and will move to a new platform called Andromeda OS (Windows Core OS) in the near future. Specifically, the official calendar stops supporting Windows 10 Mobile devices that are installing Fall Creators Update published on the Microsoft user support page, dated 10/12/2018.

The list above includes devices upgraded from Windows Phone 8.0 / 8.1 and devices pre-installed with Windows 10 Mobile platform before being shipped.
Although users are not provided with any new features for their device, thankfully, the device support time from Microsoft is quite long and Windows 10 Mobile still exists, at least to the end. 2019.
