Tim Cook and many leaders in the technology world have spoken out about the negative effects of technology in recent years, and especially social networks. Sean Parker, Facebook's first president, admitted that he helped Mark Zuckerberg to 'create a demon', 'only God knows what it is doing to the children's brains'.
Another former leader of Facebook, Chamath Palihapitiya, told Stanford University that social networking could "destroy the way society works."
For my part, Facebook says they want to help. After the end of 2017 by trying to attract more children to their ecosystem, CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he wanted to "overcome important issues".
'The world seems to be worried, divided and Facebook has a lot of work to do - whether it is to protect the community from abuse and hate, to resist government intervention or to ensure time to use Facebook is useful.'
