COVID-19 Portable 'safely isolated sampling chamber' in Vietnam
With a total cost of about 10 million VND, taking less than 15 minutes to assemble, the 'safely isolated sampling chamber' is ready for COVID-19 testing.
Recently, the Vietnam Institute of Medical Equipment and Construction, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, in collaboration with Meko Company of Japan and Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam have successfully researched and manufactured a "review chamber" mobile test" COVID-19 sampling.
The requirement is that this chamber must have high mobility, quick disassembly, simplicity and safety.
The chamber has an area of nearly 1m2, about 2.5m high and weighs 20kg, for a medical staff to work and take samples for testing for people outside through a pair of gloves attached to medical plastic film.
This simple design idea is extremely effective, the chamber can be moved to any position, allowing medical staff to not need to wear thick, secretive protective clothing and have to leave after each time. use, as well as less costly other protective equipment.
The material is made of steel and plastic pipes, so the weight is also light, easy to move and install.
The medical staff sampling area is installed with a pair of closed rubber gloves, ensuring safety against epidemics.
The cost for this testing chamber is only about 10 million VND and can be moved to any location.
Another unique feature of the test chamber is the Blauberg fresh air supply fan system. These two air intake fans have a capacity of 120 liters / min, placed right above the sampler's head, blowing air down the shoulders to create cool wind.
The vent inside the "safety sampling chamber" creates a ventilated space for medical staff.
This Blauberg instead of using a HEPA filter which is quite difficult to replace and expensive to buy, is used to filter the air with an easy-to-change, cheap N95 mask.
The design team wishes that each sampling chamber will act as a safety shield, reduce heat, and relieve stress for doctors and nurses who are fighting day and night at the epicenter of the epidemic.
The entire "safety sampling chamber" is neatly folded before and after use.
