How to Enable and Tune Gyroscope in PUBG Mobile

Turn on Scope On or Always On gyroscope control, adjust sensitivity by scope, practice recoil control, and fix drift or inconsistent aiming.

Table of Contents

To enable the gyroscope in PUBG Mobile, open Settings, find the gyroscope control, and choose either Scope On or Always On. Then open Sensitivity and tune the gyroscope value for each camera or scope. Start in Training Grounds; copied “pro” settings may feel wrong because phones, grip styles, and motion ranges differ.

What the gyroscope does

The gyroscope converts small phone movements into camera or aim movement. It can help with fine crosshair corrections and recoil control while leaving the thumbs free for movement, firing, leaning, or other controls.

  • Scope On: motion aiming activates while aiming down sights. This is easier for a new user to learn.
  • Always On: motion control also works while looking around in hip-fire or camera view. It offers more control but requires consistent hand positioning.
  • Off: phone tilt does not move the camera.

Enable gyroscope control

From the lobby, select the Settings gear.

Opening Settings in PUBG Mobile

Open the controls or basic settings area used by the current version, find Gyroscope, and select Scope On or Always On. The older interface is shown below:

Menu placement can change after an update. If the option is not visible, use Settings search if available or inspect the control and sensitivity tabs.

Adjust gyroscope sensitivity

Open Settings > Sensitivity and scroll to the gyroscope section.

PUBG Mobile gyroscope sensitivity settings

Each scope can have a separate value. A higher number makes a small phone tilt move the aim farther; a lower number requires more physical movement.

A reliable tuning method

  1. Enter Training Grounds with a familiar weapon.
  2. Start with one sight, such as a red dot, rather than changing every scope.
  3. Aim at a fixed target and track it while moving sideways.
  4. If the crosshair repeatedly passes the target, lower that scope's value slightly.
  5. If you cannot keep up without turning the phone too far, raise it slightly.
  6. Fire a controlled spray and make small downward tilts to test recoil control.
  7. Repeat for 2x, 3x, 4x, and longer scopes only after the first sight feels stable.

Change one setting at a time and test several magazines before deciding. Large jumps make it hard to learn whether aim improved because of sensitivity or a lucky spray.

Scope On or Always On?

OptionChoose it whenTradeoff
Scope OnYou want motion only while ADS or are learning gyroHip-fire and general camera movement still rely more on touch
Always OnYou want gyro for camera, hip-fire, ADS, and recoil controlUnintended hand movement can shift the view

Scope On is the less disruptive starting point. Switch to Always On after you can hold the phone steadily and recenter it without losing the target.

How to hold the phone

  • Support the phone with both hands instead of steering from the wrists alone.
  • Keep enough cable slack if charging or using wired headphones.
  • Sit in a repeatable position so the neutral phone angle does not change each match.
  • Use small tilts for aim correction; do not rotate the entire upper body.

Fix common gyroscope problems

The aim drifts while the phone is still

Place the phone on a stable surface and test again. Restart the game and phone, remove a magnetic accessory if it appears to affect sensors, and confirm the device's motion sensor works in other apps. Persistent hardware drift cannot be corrected by an extreme sensitivity value.

Gyroscope works only with some scopes

Check that those scope-specific sensitivity values are not set extremely low. Confirm whether the selected master option is Scope On or Always On.

The screen moves in the wrong direction

Look for an invert or reverse control setting. Do not try to compensate by learning an uncomfortable direction if the game provides the correct toggle.

Recoil control became worse

Reduce large downward motions, tune one weapon and scope combination at a time, and ensure the gun has suitable attachments. The guide to choosing PUBG Mobile attachments explains how grips and muzzle devices change handling.

Gyroscope is optional, not a requirement for accurate play. Use it if motion aiming feels natural, build muscle memory in Training Grounds, and keep the settings stable long enough to judge them fairly.
