Huawei sets a record for 5G network speed with download speeds of up to 3.67 Gbps
Recently, the 5G network deployed by Huawei and partner Sunrise has set a new speed record in all current mobile networks with download speeds of 3.67 Gbps.
Recently, the 5G network deployed by Huawei and partner Sunrise (Switzerland - the first network in Europe to provide high-speed 5G service) has set a new speed record in all current mobile networks. with download speed of 3.67 Gbps. The previous maximum download speed was 2 Gbps.
This speed of 3.67 Gbps (or 3,670 Mb / s) of Huawei is 58 times faster than the 4G speed in the US provided by Verizon. When using Ookla Speedtest software measured on Verizon network devices in South Florida, the result is that the download speed via 4G reaches 63 Mbps, and Wi-Fi reaches 80 Mbps.
Huawei used improved MU-MIMO technology to achieve these impressive results. MU-MIMO (multi-user, multiple input, multiple output) technology allows a significant increase in 5G capacity without requiring additional power and other spectrum sources.
The test was conducted on C-Band 100 MHz bandwidth in Sunrise's commercial network and with 5G equipment installed by Huawei.
Huawei is currently one of the leading telecom carriers in 5G in the world. With a 28% market share, the Chinese company is now the world leader in 5G. However, the United States suspects that Huawei has installed a backdoor to collect information for the Chinese government and is banning its use of network equipment.
