Earlier this week, State Media Corporation China Media Group (CMG), along with operator China Mobile and Huawei, collaborated to successfully test the transmission of 4K resolution video over 5G networks in Shenzhen and Guangdong. . This is a milestone marking a big breakthrough in China's 5G race.

As expected, at the upcoming 2019 Spring Festival Gala, China will continue to test 5G network technology in a private studio in Shenzhen. At that time, they will test live broadcast and broadcast information with 4K Ultra HD image quality to the bridgehead in Beijing.

In theory, compared to 4G, the transmission speed of 5G network is 100 times faster and if compared to wifi, it is 66 times faster. In addition, 5G network is much better than 4G network in terms of both low latency, wide coverage and high reliability.

China Media Group intends to launch a 5G network communication lab this year with the aim of accelerating the 4K Ultra HD video application process and innovating high quality content products. CMG hopes to simultaneously connect and broadcast live 4K video signal through 5G network in 10 pilot cities.
