Recently, the Chinese giant, Huawei, has partnered with mobile operators in Italy, TIM and Fastweb, to start testing 5G technology in Turin, Italy.

The company used a test setup bandwidth of 100MHz and achieved 3Gbps connection speed and spectrum performance was 30 bits / sec / Hz. This result shows that Huawei's latest technology uses bandwidth less than 7 times and has super fast speed.

The company said: "The connection speed, latency and efficiency of spectrum usage are the first indicators tested in data connection on 5G network series including terminals, radio access (radio new access) and core network . ".

Previously, TIM, Fastweb and Huawei had been licensed by the Italian Ministry of Economy for frequencies from 3.6 to 3.8GHz to test connections in cities like Bari and Matera. These tests are expected to continue as Huawei plans to announce the first 5G phone production site in June this year.

By the end of 2019, Bari and Matera regions are expected to receive 100% coverage of 5G while Vodafone Italy is preparing to commercialize 5G networks.

The 3Gb speed that Huawei has recently achieved is higher than the 5G download speed of 2Gbps achieved in Vancouver, Canada, where Huawei is cooperating with Telus.

The Chinese manufacturer has said it will invest about 790 million USD in 5G research and development this year.
