More than 6 million wires are connected to Compaq laptops, small laptops and certain accessories that may overheat, causing burns or property damage to the owner.

According to HP, the company will recall more than 6 million LS-15 electricity worldwide because of an overheating fault that could cause fire to users. These wires are used on small Compaq laptops, laptops and AC adapter accessories, such as docking stations.
LS-15 is black wire which is stamped LS-15 at the end. It comes with HP laptops and accessories from September 2010 to June 2012, but not all laptops and small laptops from HP and Compaq are sold with LS-15.
Notice was posted to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, HP said the company had received 29 reports related to LS-15 overheating as two cases of minor burns and thirteen cases of damage asset.
HP recommends that customers owning LS-15 wires should stop using them immediately and contact the company to receive a free replacement policy. The most affected customers are in the US and Canada.
