How will Viettel network customers be supported to transfer 11 numbers to 10 numbers?

Starting from 0:00 on September 15, the conversion of Viettel subscribers from 11 numbers to 10 numbers will be done and will be completed on October 7, 2018.

To ensure more than 43 million 11-digit subscribers operating on Viettel network, 8 digital bands from 0162 to 0169 will be converted to the new No. 03 in the most favorable way, Viettel Telecommunications Corporation has prepared details of technical infrastructure, human resources, and communication from many months ago.

Starting from September 15, every day there will be a range of Viettel network converted. The whole process is done entirely on the system and at night to minimize the impact on customer contact.

The conversion is complete, customers can still call both new and old numbers simultaneously until the end of November 14, 2018. And by the end of June 30, 2019, if the user turns the wrong number to the old phone number, Viettel will still announce the change of the phone number in both English and Vietnamese.

After conversion, customers can use My Viettel application to update the contacts. With just a few simple steps, all 11-digit phone numbers (of all operators) in the user's contacts will be converted to the new number.

In particular, My Viettel application also supports customers who do not use Viettel network to synchronize phone contacts. Just thanks to the help of smartphone owners, customers using the universal phone (feature phone) can use the synchronization feature on My Viettel.

In addition, the network code conversion for domestic banks and technology applications with a large number of users has also been specifically planned by Viettel Telecom to support Viettel customers to update new phone numbers.

Customers using Viettel's Mocha application will automatically update the contacts. Viettel also supports customers to send their new number notification messages to all users in their contacts.
