How to pair AirPods, AirPods Pro with a Windows 10 computer
Apple's AirPods, AirPods Pro headphones are designed to work with Apple devices. However, this doesn't mean the AirPods won't work with Windows 10 devices.
1. How to pair AirPods, AirPods Pro with a Windows 10 computer
To pair and connect AirPods or AirPods Pro to your Windows 10 computer, follow the steps below:
Step 1: First put 2 AirPods in the charging case and open the lid.
Step 2: Press and hold the small round button on the back of the charging case for a few seconds until the light flashes white.
Step 3: Click on the Bluetooth icon in the Windows 10 computer system tray. Alternatively, enter the keyword "Bluetooth" in the Search box on the Start Menu to open the Bluetooth settings window. Here, find and click on the Bluetooth and other devices settings option.
Step 4: Click on Add Bluetooth or other devices located at the top corner of the window.
Step 5: On the Add a device window, find and click the Bluetooth option.
Step 6: Here, find and click AirPods from the list of devices.
Step 7: Wait for a few seconds, at this point on the screen will display a message saying that pairing AirPods with PC is successful.
Note: If pairing fails, close the AirPods charging case, reconfigure the Bluetooth settings on your PC and repeat the steps above.
In addition to connecting Airpods to Windows 10, you can also pair AirPods with Apple Watch to use.
2. How to reconnect AirPods to a Windows computer
AirPods will automatically connect to your PC every time you open the lid of the charging case. However, in some cases, if the devices are not connected or paired with each other, follow the steps below:
Step 1: On your Windows 10 computer, click the Bluetooth icon in the system tray to open the Bluetooth settings window. Or another way is to enter the keyword "Bluetooth" in the Search box on the Start Menu, on the list of search results click on Bluetooth and other devices settings.
Step 2: In the Bluetooth and other devices window in the right pane, scroll down to Audio, find and click on AirPods.
Step 3: Click Connect to reconnect the AirPods to the Windows computer.
