How to Look Up the Latest Mobile Phone IMEI Number 2022
Dial Code
Dial the IMEI code. You can look up the IMEI/MEID number on any phone by dialing the code *# 06#. Normally, you don't need to press the Call or Send button because the IMEI/MEID number will appear as soon as you have finished typing the code.
Copy the sequence of numbers. The IMEI/MEID number will appear in a new window of your phone. Make a note of those numbers on paper if you can't use the copy and paste feature on your phone.
Most phones specify whether this is an IMEI number or a MEID number. If your phone doesn't specifically show it, you can verify the number by checking what network you're on. GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile use IMEI numbers. While CDMA carriers like Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular use MEID numbers.
Using iPhone
Observe the back of the iPhone 5 or the original iPhone. iPhone 5, 5c, 5s and early iPhone models are engraved with the IMEI number on the back. The MEID number is the same sequence of numbers, but omits the last digit (15-digit IMEI, 14-digit MEID).
GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile use IMEI numbers. And CDMA carriers like Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular use MEID numbers.

Check the SIM slot on your iPhone 3G, 3GS, 4 or 4s. First of all, you need to remove the SIM from the slot. The IMEI/MEID number is printed on the SIM slot. If your phone is on a CDMA carrier (Verizon, Sprint, US Cellular) you'll see both numbers. To determine the MEID number, simply remove the last digit.
Open Settings. You'll see this on your iPhone's desktop. This step applies to all iPhone or iPad models.
Select General. Select "About" from the General menu.
Select the item IMEI/MEID. You will see the IMEI/MEID number. If you want to copy this sequence of numbers to your iPhone's clipboard, press and hold the IMEI/MEID key in the About menu for a few seconds. When a message shows that the number sequence has been copied, remove your hand.
Find IMEI/MEID number using iTunes. If your iPhone won't turn on, you can connect it to your computer and use iTunes to look up the IMEI/MEID number.
Plug your iPhone into the computer and open iTunes.
Select iPhone from the Device menu in the top-right corner of the iTunes window, and then select the Summary tab.
Click on the "Phone Number" section next to the iPhone image. This is a cycle through the ID number to your device.
Copy the IMEI/MEID number. If both numbers are displayed, you'll need to check which carrier you're using to see if you need the IMEI or MEID number. GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile use IMEI numbers. CDMA networks like Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular use MEID numbers.
Using an Android Phone
Open Android's Settings menu. You can either click the settings icon in the application tray or use the Menu button.
Select the "About Phone" item. You may have to scroll down the Settings page to see this.
Select "Status". Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see MEID or IMEI. You'll see both ranges of numbers, so verify which number you need to use. GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile use IMEI numbers. CDMA networks like Sprint, Verizon, and US Cellular use MEID numbers.
Copy the sequence of numbers. There's no way to copy this sequence of numbers to your phone's clipboard, so you'll need to copy it down on paper.

Power off the phone. Before removing the battery you need to power off the phone. This is done to avoid data loss and not crash the application when power is off.
Remove the phone back cover. This method only applies to devices with removable batteries. You cannot apply to iPhones or devices that use instant batteries.
Remove the battery. Gently remove the battery from the phone. Normally, you need to push the battery down slightly to get it out.
Find the IMEI/MEID number. The location of the serial number on each phone is different, but usually the IMEI/MEID number is printed on a sticker attached to the phone, below the battery.
If the phone only records the IMEI number but you need the MEID number, then you can simply omit the last digit (IMEI is 15 digits, MEID is 14 digits).

Find IMEI on Motorola iDen Units
Power on the phone. Open call function and press # , *, Menu key, Right key. Do not rest between keystrokes or you will have to start over.
Determine IMEI number. In the SIM card category, scroll down until you see "IMEI/SIM ID" and press Enter. In this section you will see IMEI, SIM and sometimes MSN numbers. The first 14 digits are displayed; The 15th digit is always 0.
On some older units that don't use a SIM card, keep pressing the Right key until you see IMEI [0] displayed on the screen. The first 7 digits are displayed. Copy the sequence of numbers on paper, only 7 digits can be displayed at a time.
Press the Menu key and the Next button to view the next 7 digits. The 15th and last digit is usually 0.
Packaging Check
Find the packaging of the mobile device. Don't worry about the manual, you just need to find the product box.
Identify the barcode on the product. It can be pasted on the lid of the box to seal the product.
Find the IMEI/MEID number. Usually, this serial number is printed with the barcode or product code.
AT&T login account
Sign in to your AT&T account on the website.
Go to your profile and click on 'Update My Profile'.
Select the 'User Information' tab. After clicking on this tab, you will see a list of devices on this account, you can switch phone numbers.
Scroll down to find the link 'Customer Service Summary & Contract'.
Click on 'Wireless Customer Agreement' when the window appears. The machine will load a PDF file.
Open the PDF file. You realize this is a contract for the purchase of equipment. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the IMEI number.
