How to delete phone contacts from Instagram

Instagram allows you to sync your phone contacts with your social media accounts, so you can easily follow and keep in touch with everyone you know and also use Instagram.

This is a pretty useful feature, but if you feel like you don't need it, follow these steps to remove your personal contacts from Instagram.

Start by visiting Instagram's website on a Windows 10, Mac, or Linux computer, and sign in to your account. The reason for doing so is that currently, there is no option that allows you to delete your contacts from the Instagram mobile app for Android or iPhone.

Next, click your profile photo icon in the top right corner.

From the drop-down menu, click ' Settings '.

From the menu on the left, click on ' Manage Contacts '.

On this page, you can browse a list of all the contacts you've provided (synced) to Instagram.

Click the ' Delete All ' button to delete all of your contacts data from Instagram.

Note that this is only a temporary measure. If you have turned on the contact sync feature in the Instagram mobile app, Instagram can automatically retrieve contact data from your phone.

To resolve this issue, open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android device. Next, navigate to your profile page by clicking on your profile photo in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Tap the three-dash menu button in the upper-right corner of the screen, then select ' Settings '.

Navigate to the " Account 'section.

In the account settings menu, find and tap the " Contacts syncing ' option .

Turn off ' Connect Contacts '.

So after following the above steps, you have completely removed your phone contacts from your Instagram account.
