How to Clear 2048 Game
Game tips and basic instructions
Grasp the rules of the game. Maybe you already know how to play 2048, but if you don't understand clearly, here are the most basic rules. Note that this is how the official game version plays, but there are also many plagiarized versions, clones, and even predecessors. Many of these games have different gameplay rules.
Swipe the screen up, down, left or right to move all numbered squares in the corresponding direction. Each tile will move in that direction until it touches a wall or another tile (you need to press the arrow keys in the desktop version).
Each time you move, a new box numbered 2 or 4 will appear in an empty position according to the most recently moved row or column.
Try to reach the number 2048. When you move two squares with the same number to touch each other, they merge into a new square whose value is equal to the sum of those two squares. For example, two squares of 2 will merge into a square of 4. The goal you need to try to achieve is to create a square with the value 2048.
Pause the game and think ahead. You can quickly get attracted to the game and try to move as fast as possible. If you want a higher chance of winning, you should try to restrain yourself and only move when you are ready. Calculate ahead and try to imagine what the board will look like after you make your next move, or at least predict what will happen to some important squares.
Cornered. A popular way of playing that many players apply is to create a square of great value in a certain corner. It doesn't matter which angle you choose, but you need to stick with that angle once you've made your choice.
This play is most effective when that corner is part of the row that you are keeping filled. Thus, you can move the squares from the left to the right without affecting your high value squares.
Seize the opportunity to combine multiple squares. If you see a long row of identical tiles, it's usually a good idea to combine them all to get more space on the board.
Alternately click top and right. A basic way to play is to alternate clicking above and to the right until no more squares move. When this happens, you need to click on the left side, then continue switching back and forth between clicking above and on the right. This doesn't guarantee a 'clear' - in fact, it's often difficult to win when playing this way. However, this is a way to help you achieve a pretty high score, and is also a quick way to break your previous record.
Instructions on how to play step by step
Swipe left and right several times (this step is not required). Start a new game, then quickly swipe left and right. Continue until you see many rows of 2s, 4s and 8s. Although this step is not necessary to win, you will often gain an advantage and have the squares reach large values faster.
Creates a high value square in the corner. Combine the original squares into 16 or 32 squares, then put them in the corner. The purpose of this step is to keep the square in place for as long as possible, then gradually create a square of greater value.
This way of playing is applied in the world record of the game 2048 to create the last square in 1 minute 34 seconds.
Fill rows containing high value squares. For example: If your high value corner is in the upper right, fill the entire top row with squares. Alternating between the two corner directions ("top" and "right" in this example) is a good way to do that. Once filled, you can move left and right multiple times without moving the high value square from the corner.
Keep an eye on this row and fill in the gaps that appear whenever possible without moving the corner tile.
Focus on merging small squares. Most of the time playing the game, making 8, 16 and 32 is more important than just focusing on one big square. Ideally, those mid-range value squares are near the corner squares you have selected. This helps you combine in a chain reaction fashion, then get closer to your goal than just focusing on creating that single square of great value.
Frees small, stuck squares. Things often don't go perfectly as planned, and you may find yourself in a situation where squares 2 or 4 are stuck between squares 256 and 64, or they are in unfavorable positions. This is the moment when you need to pause the game and think carefully about each move to free that small square. There are quite a few ways to do this:
Select a tile next to the stuck square, then plan to combine them. If it's a large square, you may need to plan multiple moves in advance to get things going. Once you have a square with the same value next to it, swipe so that the square you want to combine moves.
Another thing to try is to try to create a gap in the row with the small square stuck, then move it left and right until it is on the meldable square. This method is often not very effective if there are too many squares on the board.
Move the corner square when forced to, then return to its original position. In most games, there will be a time when you are forced to move the corner square to another location. You should observe in advance to know how to move most beneficially. Swipe in that direction and then immediately swipe back so the high value square returns to the corner.
In some fake versions, you can move aimlessly and a random square still appears. In this version, you usually never have to move your tile from the corner, but sometimes it's still necessary if your screen is in danger of filling up.
Try non-stop until you win. You still need a little luck to 'clear' this game, so don't expect to win the first time. If you have to move a corner square and unfortunately a new square appears in that same corner, the chance of success will be much lower. You can still win if you solve five or six blank squares, or in case your highest valued squares are 64 or 128. If the square reaches a higher value, you are usually unlikely to win. chance to escape this ironic situation.
