How to access and use Clipboard History on Windows 11
This is the temporary storage of data (usually text) that you have moved or copied across the operating system. When something is stored in the clipboard, it can be pasted to a new location.

Access and use Clipboard History on Windows 11
To access the clipboard history in Windows 11, press the Windows + V key combination on your keyboard. You'll see a pop-up menu in the bottom right corner of the screen, which shows a message that says 'Let's get started. Turn on clipboard history to copy and view multiple items'. Click ' Turn On ' to enable Clipboard History.
Once Clipboard History has been enabled, start copying items to your clipboard by selecting them and pressing Ctrl+C (or using the in-app menu). Clipboard History on Windows 11 supports up to 25 text, HTML or bitmap items 4MB or less in size.
To see the list of saved items in Clipboard History, simply press the Windows + V key combination . The most recent items you've saved will appear at the top of the list.
In the Clipboard History menu that appears, you can paste any item in the list by clicking and Windows will insert it into the document or text field as if you pressed Ctrl + V (or choose ' Paste ' from the menu) .
To remove an item from Clipboard History, click the ellipses (three dots) button next to the item and select the trash can icon that appears. Or if you want to clear all the items in the Clipboard History, select the ' Clear All ' button at the top of the list.
If there's a particularly important item that you always want to keep at the top of the list, (such as an item you need to paste frequently), open Clipboard History and click the little pin icon.
Turn off Clipboard History in Windows 11
To disable the Clipboard History feature in Windows 11, first open the Settings app by pressing the Windows + i key combination on your keyboard. In Settings , navigate to System > Clipboard . In the 'Clipboard History' section, turn the switch to the ' Off ' position.
After turning off Clipboard History, if you press Windows + V , you will see a message asking to turn clipboard history back on.
