Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town has 65 listed sub-missions, many arranged in chains. Some appear only after a main-story scene, an earlier sub-mission, and one or more in-game days. If a character is not at the stated location, finish the prerequisite, sleep to advance the day, and check the location again.
This guide lists every sub-mission from the source checklist, including unlock conditions, objectives, quiz answers, and rewards. Location and item names follow the English game terminology.

Important sub-missions to complete early
- Rose, the Little Girl Roadblock opens the Civic Center and Marsh Entrance after you obtain the first secret word from Prince, Ace, and Champ.
- Vegetables with Grandma 1 begins the farming chain and introduces more vegetable entries.
- Vegetables with Grandma 2 unlocks the Water Sprinkler and additional seeds.
- Look for Ms. Kurita's Pet supplies the Crawfish Rod, which is needed for crustaceans and Prince's later fishing request.
- The Missing Frog Stone eventually unlocks the Phantom Fields farm plots and sprinkler.
Collect glowing items as you explore and record new fish, bugs, vegetables, and minerals with Kazuko. Long collection chains count what is recorded in the book, so building the collection early reduces late-game cleanup.

Tips when a sub-mission will not appear
- Complete the exact main mission and earlier sub-mission named in the table.
- Watch any required cutscene, then advance one or more in-game days.
- Check both listed locations when a character moves during the day.
- Open the sub-mission list to confirm that an objective is active before gathering a rare item.
- Record collection entries; simply owning an item may not satisfy a book-completion requirement.
- Keep a reserve of minerals and produce for upgrade and cooking requests.
