Google will invest $ 13 billion in the development of data centers and offices in the United States in 2019
Google has officially announced major investment decisions on the company's infrastructure in 2019, in the direction of expanding to the suburbs of major cities in the United States.
In a post on a personal blog today, CEO Sundar Pichai has revealed that Google is planning to invest more than $ 13 billion in developing data centers and offices across the US in This year, including investment packages for new data centers, as well as strengthening the presence of Google headquarters in rural and suburban areas. With these investments, CEO Sundar Pichai confirmed that Google will now have representative offices in 24 states and data centers in 14 states to better serve customers.

"These new investments will allow us to hire tens of thousands of employees and create a wider network of offices and services that meet the needs of our customers," Pichai wrote.
Some locations that Google intends to deploy to build large offices and facilities include:
- Construction of new data centers in Ohio, Nebraska and Nevada.
- Expanding existing data centers in Oklahoma and South Carolina.
- Build a new office and data center in Texas (although it is unclear exactly where and Google has an office in Austin, Texas).
- A new office and data center in Virginia and a new office in Georgia. With such additions, Google said its workforce in both states would nearly double.
- Expand offices in Wisconsin, Chicago, Massachusetts, New York, Washington and Los Angeles. In some cases, Google will move several of its working groups into larger offices in the coming years, such as building a new Hudson Square campus in New York City.
Google also mentioned that they completed the opening of their first office in Detroit, Michigan last November and are preparing several important staff to work there.
Google does not specifically announce the number of employees who will be recruited or transferred to these new headquarters, as well as contractors appointed for construction. As of December 2018, Google has 98,771 employees and most are full-time employees.

Opening more data centers and offices is Google's right decision to further boost market share in the home country. Of course the company's campus in Mountain View will remain the largest, the workplace of the leadership as well as the board. Meanwhile, other large offices in Massachusetts, Washington and New York act as major technical centers. In addition, a large Google office in Chicago used to act as a sales center, but now is also the workplace of technical staff and products, and the new space in Detroit will operate primarily.
