Google launches Gemini 3 Pro Image: next-generation imaging model with higher accuracy

A few months ago, Google introduced Gemini 2.5 Flash Image (also known as Nano Banana by the community ), a model for creating and editing images that met the top standards at that time according to many AI evaluation criteria.

Today, Google continues to announce Gemini 3 Pro Image (codename Nano Banana Pro ), a next-generation image creation and editing model. Google asserts that this model takes advantage of the Gemini system's advanced inference capabilities and real-world understanding to create more accurate images than ever. Notably, Gemini 3 Pro Image can also exploit Google Search to create images based on real-time information such as weather, sports, and many other peripheral data.

Google also focused on improving the ability to create text in images – an inherent weakness of image-generating models. Nano Banana Pro can create more detailed text in mockups and posters, supporting many types of materials, fonts, and even calligraphy. Thanks to multilingual support, users can request text in different languages in the same image.

In terms of consistency, the Nano Banana Pro allows for up to 14 images to be combined and still maintain facial uniformity for up to 5 people , something that many other models still struggle with.

In addition, the new model also brings a series of advanced creative tools: select and refine individual areas in the photo, change the camera angle, adjust sharpness, color, change scene lighting, and many more deep creative customizations. Users can also create photos with multiple aspect ratios and resolutions up to 2K and 4K .

For developers, the Gemini 3 Pro Image is priced at:

  1. $0.134/photo (1K/2K, 1120 tokens)

  2. $0.24/image (4K, 2000 tokens)

This model is being rolled out across many Google products and services. It is already available to general users on the global Gemini app: the free version will have a daily limit on image creation, while the Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans will have higher limits. Google AI Ultra users in Flow will also get early access.

Nano Banana Pro is also available on NotebookLM for global subscribers, available in Search AI Mode in the US, and coming soon to Google Ads, Google Slides, Vids, Gemini API, Google AI Studio, and the new IDE Google Antigravity.
