The Google Contacts app is getting a new look. Since the latest version of Contacts, the interface update, first released last year, has begun rolling out on select devices, bringing more Material 3 Expressive-style personalization options to the app.
With version 4.71.82.856460119 of the Contacts app, you'll immediately notice a significant interface change, even in the areas you use least often.
The contact sharing interface has been improved, including more readable information boxes for details such as contact names and phone numbers. When you select different parts of a phone number to share, the selected and unselected items are separated.
Additionally, there's an interface to review the shared content before you proceed with your contacts.
The contact import interface has also been updated with clearer selections and a more clearly divided list, using the same colors as in the checklist in the contact sharing menu.
