Google App error makes Android users unable to receive or initiate calls
Google has just released a statement that some Android smartphone models have been affected by an issue in the Google App that prevents them from receiving or initiating calls. "After the latest update of Google Search App on Android, some Android users have been having difficulty receiving or initiating calls," a Google community manager shared.
Google quickly rolled out another update to fix this issue. "We are now taking a closer look at the issue and have released an update of the app to fix the bug," Google added.
Most users install automatic updates for Google apps on their devices. A small number of users choose to update apps manually via the Google Play Store.
In case you still get the error even though you let the app update automatically, you can update Google's new version (fix) manually. First, access the Google Play Store then search for the Google app and then click the Update button.
According to Google statistics, there are more than 5 billion devices installed Google Search App globally. Therefore, the number of people experiencing errors is very large. Google does not share error rates by manufacturer. However, it seems that LG is the company that has the most problems with this device when the list of LG devices with the error includes: LG G7, LG G7 ThinQ, LG V40 ThinQ, and LG Q70.
There is another way to fix this problem that many users have successfully applied is to remove the Google Search App application.
