Details of the official Free Fire OB49 update

1. New Map Solara – Multi-terrain Battlefield

Solara is the 7th map in Free Fire, open for testing from May 5 to May 19, 2025 via Advance Server. Solara is divided into 3 main terrain areas:

- Tech Zone: High-rise buildings, high-speed combat.
- Mountainous Area: Rough terrain, ideal for ambushes.
- Desert Area: Open and empty, suitable for long-range combat.

Additionally, players will explore unique locations like Thunder Zone, Nebula Port, and Canyon Lab – places that are both dangerous and rich in quality loot resources.

2. Room card is renewed

After OB49, players will no longer need traditional room cards to create custom matches. Everyone can open their own rooms. However, a new type of room card will be introduced, promising special modes or extra benefits.

- Old room cards will no longer appear in daily quests and will no longer be sold in the guild shop. If you still have them, keep them.

3. New Characters and Pets

- Kairos: Mysterious fighting character (still being kept secret).
- Kassie: High-tech Medic, Healing Nova skill supports healing + speeding up nearby teammates.
- Pixy (Pet): Fast healing when saving teammates, easy to change combo with preset settings.

4. Upgrade gameplay

- Shoot while ziplining, making combat more flexible.
- More balanced item distribution between areas.
- Safe zones now move randomly, making combat less predictable.
- New weapons: Marksman rifle fires two shots per shot, good range, slow reload. M1887 and AUG tweaked.

5. Clash Squad and new rankings

- Clash Squad: Updated Bermuda Remastered, Kalahari maps, changed gun combos.
- Ranked Mode: Added Diamond Elite and Grandmaster Plus ranks, more accurate matchmaking.

6. Upgraded graphics, sound and interface

- Sharper images, more realistic lighting and sound effects.
- New smoother interface, can adjust settings right in the match.

7. Advance Server and official release date

Advance Server OB49 opens from May 5 to May 19, 2025. Register on the official website with your Google/Facebook account to receive the activation code. The official version is expected to be released globally on May 21, 2025, although Garena has not yet set an official schedule.
