Free Fire OB51, released on October 29, 2025, introduced Nero, the Flame Arena event, a four-part loadout system, the Winchester marksman rifle, weapon upgrades, and several Battle Royale and Clash Squad changes. These are historical OB51 launch values; later patches may have rebalanced characters and equipment.

Nero and Cryo Mind

Nero is an active-skill character designed to force opponents out from behind Gloo Walls. At OB51 launch, Cryo Mind threw a plushie with 150 HP that lasted 12 seconds, ignored obstacles, and traveled up to 50 meters—or 100 meters in Battle Royale.

The plushie tracked the nearest visible enemy within eight meters and created an eight-meter dreamy space. Inside the area, Nero and opponents could not place Gloo Walls, while enemies lost 16 HP per second. Destroying the plushie ended the area and marked the player who destroyed it for five seconds. The launch cooldown was 45 seconds.

OB53 later reduced Cryo Mind’s damage from 16 to 14 HP per second and shortened the delay before Gloo Walls can be placed after leaving the area. Players should check the current character screen for live values.

Flame Arena event

Flame Arena gave each team a banner visible in the sky. A banner burned away when every team assigned to it was eliminated. During the endgame, a Flame Zone replaced the normal out-of-zone area and a trophy appeared with the surviving banners. Match announcements highlighted eliminations, streaks, and the final phase, while the winner received a flame-themed Booyah animation.

Clash Squad used two randomly assigned banners and brought the Flame Zone and trophy into a decisive round. Event visuals also appeared in the lobby, store, and upgrade interfaces.

Four redesigned loadouts

Team Booster

Battle Royale teams could equip up to three of six shared boosts. The first slot was free; the next two cost 400 and 800 FF Coins at launch. Available effects covered HP/EP recovery, movement speed, extra healing, out-of-zone mobility, Gloo Wall durability, and armor restoration.

In Clash Squad, the loadout supplied a destructible Helper Bot that revived a nearby teammate. The normal rescue time was 7.5 seconds and fell to four seconds with Thiva’s skill.

Enhance Hammer

In Battle Royale, the enhancement panel upgraded a player’s or teammate’s weapon and its attachments for 600 FF Coins. In Clash Squad, every two eliminations granted a hammer token used during the purchase phase to upgrade weapons or increase the team’s Gloo Wall capacity.

Tactical Market

Battle Royale players could open the market to buy information and utility items, including a Bolt Maker. Its Lightning Zone lasted 30 seconds, struck once per second, dealt 60 damage to enemies hit, and did not damage teammates.

Clash Squad’s tactical panel offered the Super Bonfire, Smoke Vortex, and Cyber Barricade for healing, obscuring sight, or deploying cover.

Super Leg Pockets

This loadout combined the earlier Leg Pockets, Bonfire, and Armor Crate concepts. It supplied extra storage, armor, healing utilities, and mode-specific starting items.

Battle Royale loot and navigation changes

  • Upgradable Arsenals: players could spend 1,500 FF Coins to improve loot quality. Arsenal Keys were reduced to 600 FF Coins.
  • Waypoints: teams could place up to three minimap markers to plan a route.
  • Weapon racks: major locations received two to four racks, each holding two weapons and a Super Med.
  • Gloo Mushroom: interacting with this Cyber Mushroom accelerated Gloo Wall generation in the area.
  • Gloo UAV-Lite: reinforced nearby Gloo Walls and helped restore their durability.
  • Revival improvements: upgraded revival points returned players with stronger recovery equipment and marked loot.

Character balance changes

CharacterOB51 change

New Winchester and weapon progression

The Winchester joined the weapon pool as an upgradeable marksman rifle with a two-round firing mechanism and staged reload. OB51 also let selected weapons level up either through accumulated damage or Upgrade Chips. Level 0 versions became ground loot, while upgrade sources and stats were rebalanced.
