Friends play games with both PS4 and mobile

The idea here is that a group of friends can sit together at the home of a PS4 owner and play on PlayLink together. The difference is that you do not need a lot of handles or spend hours teaching friends (which are not familiar with game tools like PS) how to play. PlayLink's first game will be That's You, a party game that players and friends can compete with. Players who have purchased the PlayStation Plus package will get it for free from July 4 and anyone can buy it from July 5. You can see the introduction video including the appearance of Shushei Yoshida and other developers and leaders of Sony in the video below.

Sony announced that there will be more games on PlayLink when it launches in late 2017, including Hidden Agenda, a narrative adventure game from author of Until Dawn, Knowledge Is Power, a puzzle game of up to 5 people. Play and Frantics, collection of minigames.

Sony's response to Nintendo Switch

PlayLink is like a feedback to the Nintendo Switch and the various play options of this game machine. However, instead of releasing on a completely new platform, Sony is smarter, making it easier for mobile users to play games. That means PlayLink will come to more people, both casual and veteran gamers.
