Discover 10 8000 year old cave paintings in Turkey

A series of 10 ancient cave paintings that have just been found in southern Turkey shocked the archeologists of the country.

Accordingly, these 10 cave paintings dated to about 8000 years old, were discovered in caves in Gülnar district, Mersin region, southern Turkey.

Professor Murat Durukan of Mersin University and co-excavator Professor Serdar Girginer of Cukurova University discovered these 10 cave paintings and according to them, these cave paintings belong to prehistoric times called Cilicia times .

'This is a group of rare and very important cave paintings in the Cilicia period, reflecting a cultural characteristic characterized by the ancient locals' days before . '

Archaeological group said, 10 cave paintings may be imprinted products by caves that may have been the center of religious activities, the center performed rituals, harvest seasons expressed in strange characters, strange numbers recorded in the stone cave in a unique way.
