Discover 150 ancient art rock paintings in Chile

More than one hundred art rock paintings dating back about 2000 BC found in Chile make global archaeologists interested.

Accordingly, the incident was discovered by a group of Chilean anthropologists and archaeologists. They found 150 ancient art stone paintings formed from 2000 BC in the Coquimbo region, south of the Atacama desert, about 400 km north of the Chilean capital, Santiago.

The results observed under the software show that these ancient stone paintings are extremely high artistic, far from previous rock paintings found in nearby areas.

Patterns displayed in the painting include many lines, circles, squares and pictograms with different colors. According to experts, the color of the painting is made from the mineral powder available in the soil mixed with animal fat, such as red in the picture taken from hematite mineral, copper mineral powder, yellow from mineral Goethite and black from coal.

Currently, the archaeological group has not been able to determine the meaning of more than 150 ancient art stone paintings. But for the most part, this may be a sign, a work to delineate, distinguish the territorial boundaries of ancient inhabitants in the area especially when the population of ancient populations is increasingly crowded in the past 2000 years BC.
