ChatOn will be killed in early 2015

Samsung confirmed, the company will officially open the ChatOn service on a global scale (except the US market) in early February 2015.

According to CNET, Samsung continues to offer ChatOn service in the US because it also has some terms with the network provider. However, ChatOn's suspension in this market is only a matter of time.

ChatOn is a messaging application announced by Samsung in September 2001. Currently this application is being used in 120 countries in 63 different languages. ChatOn also has a version running on Android, iOS and BlackBerry.

At launch, Samsung expects this application to be a heavyweight "rival" with Whatsapp. However, in reality, this application does not receive the attention of users.

Before ChatOn , Samsung also closed some other online services such as Samsung Hub Music, Samsung Readers Hub and most recently Samsung Video Hub.
