Facebook account reporting is what many users often do when they receive suspicious messages from certain accounts pretending to be friends or relatives. However, the surprising thing is that after doing that act, they are the recipient of punishment from Facebook.

Currently #FacebookLockout is a popular keyword on Twitter because many people said that after reporting fake accounts and scams, they were locked by Facebook.

RateLinx's marketing director, Cory Comer, after receiving a text message from a former colleague on Messenger, thought it was not his colleague and reported the account. But only a few hours later, Comer's Facebook account was locked. During the week the account was locked, Comer did not receive any support from Facebook. The bad thing is that the company's fanpage is only linked to his account so no one has access to it.

To regain an account, users must upload proof of identity. However, many people reflect that this process does not work. Unable to get in touch with Facebook, account-locked people poured into Twitter in hopes of getting Mark Zuckerberg's company to pay attention.

Kara Missione, a Facebook user, said her account had been locked for 23 days but Facebook had no support. Her business is mostly on Facebook and she also pays a lot of advertising money. The account lock made her lose her income, and her spirit was also hurt.

Regarding this situation, Facebook has not provided any feedback yet.
