Asus launched a new netbook series with ION 2 and USB 3.0

The Eee PC 1201PN will be equipped with the latest Nvidia ION graphics platform while the trendy 1016P with the 3rd generation USB port .

Three models of netbooks introduced by Asus include Eee PC 1201PN, 1018P and 1016P. Two 1201PN and 1016P models will use the Intel Atom N450 processor, of which 1016P can be updated to the Atom N455 processor. The other one, 1018P will be equipped with Atom N455 or N475 processor. All of these products will use Intel GMA 3150 graphics chip.

1201PN is more prominent when the latest netbook is equipped with Nvidia ION 2 platform with 12.1-inch screen with HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels or video playback of Full HD 1080p via HDMI port. This model has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, supports standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR.

The other two models are 1018P and 1016P with 10.1-inch screen, 160GB or 250GB hard drive and 3G modem option. In it, 1016P is one of the first netbook models to include standard USB 3.0. No further information is available, but 1018P is more likely to integrate this connection standard.
