The two new Netbooks are Eee PC 904HD and 1000HD with the main difference being size. The Eee PC 904HD has a screen size of 8.9-inch and the Eee PC 1000HD is 10-inch. In terms of configuration, Asus also upgraded to both 904HD and 1000HD lines as RAM up to 2GB of DRAM upgrade, hard drive capacity reached 80GB. Both allow users to choose to use Windows XP Home Edition or GNU Linux. The main colors are still in black and white, weighing only 1.40kg (904HD) and 1.45kg (1000HD).
However, instead of preparing the integrated dual-core Intel Atom processor line (due to be introduced in September), the Eee PC 904HD and 1000HD use the Intel Celeron M 353 (released by Intel in 2004). Although equipped with the Intel Celeron M series, the netbook price will be lower when using Intel Atom, but compared to previous Asus Netbooks such as 901, 1000, and 1000H based on Intel Atom processor, Equipped with 6 batteries with operating time from 4.2 to 7 hours, 2 lines of 904HD and 1000HD also have 6 batteries but only operate from 3.2 to 5 hours.
Not only is the screen size different, the Asus Eee PC 1000HD has a few different features with 904HD such as a higher resolution webcam, 1000HD is 1.3 m and 904HD is 0.3mp. The Eee PC 1000HD supports most of today's popular wireless network standards (Wi-Fi) like 802.11b / g / n while 904HD only supports 802.11b / g.
Asus has sold the two new Netbooks in Taiwan for about $ 446 for the Eee PC 904HD and $ 800 for the Eee PC 1000HD. Both new Netbook lines will continue to be introduced in India and especially markets in developing countries. Asus also released both in Europe and the US at different prices for each region and country.
