In March 2021, Avast found 133 fraudulent applications appearing on the AppStore and reported to Apple about this situation. Meanwhile, VPN Check found that 84 of the 133 apps are still available on Apple's platform. These are applications for editing photos, videos, creating wallpapers, cleaning phones or even fake anti-viruses.

These applications may not be software that carries viruses or tries to steal your data. They are sometimes just trying to cost you money by cheating on freight rates. Types of fraud you may encounter include: charging without notice, self-subscribing to subscription plans or other similar mechanisms.

However, no matter which method it is, it will still have a certain effect on you. So please remove these applications soon if you have accidentally installed them.

You may be wondering why Apple doesn't forcefully remove these apps from its platform? The most likely explanation is that Apple is afraid of reducing income from fraudulent activities, which bring a large source of revenue from commissions. So the above applications can continue to exist and develop on Apple's platform.
