OS X 10.10 uses a flat interface.

True to the rumors, Apple today announced OS X 10.10 version of Yosemite code, an upgrade of OS X 10.9 Mavericks launched last year. Flat design, transparent menu and iOS 7 application structure can be found in every corner of OS X 10.10.

With the new interface, Apple completely redesigned the application icons. Application windows can also adjust colors based on the background selected from earlier, just like iOS.Dark Mode allows for dark, completely blurred out-of-window interface to help users focus better while working.

The notification center displays more information.

In terms of features, the notification center is the most inspired point from iOS. The extension displays the Today heading, which allows weather, stock, reminders, and updates to be updated. Apple said third-party applications can also use this notification bar. Along with that, Spotlight search engine is also refreshed on the interface, improving many functions such as instant search on the web.

One of the biggest changes is Apple's iCloud Drive service that integrates all the files stored in iCloud account into a folder in the Finder. Users can browse, create tags, delete, copy as any file on the device. There will also be applications for Windows computers to synchronize data from two different platforms. This can be considered formidable opponents of OneDrive, Google Drive or Dropbox.

iCloud Drive competes with Google Drive.

Another feature closely related to iCloud Drive is MailDrop. New features in the Mail application allow users to attach large files by uploading "cloud" iCloud and attaching to help bypass restrictions on storage.

However, what Apple fans love is the ability to connect between OS X and iOS on new versions. Users can interact, transfer data images between machines without cables. For example, emails being edited on iPhone can continue to be edited on Mac. The Hotspot mobile hotspot feature on iPhone can also be turned on remotely via Mac computer.

Receive iPhone calls via Mac computer.

Apple's iMessage service has access to sync on all devices running iOS and OS X using one account. Additional features include voice messages, photo and video sending. Furthermore, calls from the iPhone can be transferred to a Mac and the computer can then be used as a giant speaker.

OS X 10.10 will have a trial version this summer before officially giving users a free download in the fall.
