Apple officially allows users to embed Apple Maps on its own website
In an effort to make Apple Maps more popular in the market, 'Apples Apples' launched MapKit JS - a Javascript library that allows users to embed Apple Maps into their websites.
Compared to Google Maps, Apple Maps, though pre-installed on all iPhones and iPads, is still not as popular. The reason is that users can easily embed Google map service into websites, making it almost everywhere. In an effort to make Apple Maps more popular in the market, 'Apples Apples' launched MapKit JS - a Javascript library that allows users to embed Apple Maps into their websites.
MapKit JS will optimize the map on different devices and browsers. Support navigation gestures like pinch-to-zoom, rotate two fingers . Right inside the browser, users can add annotations, overlay, use Apple Maps services such as Search and Direct.
MapKit JS promises to help Apple Maps increase popularity and reduce Google's dominance in this area.
Apple Maps was launched in 2012 but left an unimpressive impression on users when encountering horrible errors such as deformed landscapes, directions for users to cross the airport runway .
In the past, Apple has tried to do everything to improve the quality of Apple Maps, regaining the trust of users.
