Abul Azm said that this ancient stone block could be part of King Nectanebo II's royal temple or it could be part of the temple wall built by the king.

Abul Azm also said, after completing the recall procedure, there will be many other related excavations taking place in this area.

Ashraf Okasha, General Manager of Abydos Antiquities Agency pointed out that this newly discovered ancient stone is 1.40x40 cm in size, but due to the high groundwater level, it is determined whether it is part of a good temple. A temple wall is facing many difficulties.

Okasha added that the Archaeological Committee examined the area at this two-story mud brick house - the site of the illegal excavation with an ancient stone block discovered at the bottom of a four-meter-deep pit.
