Specifically, the excavation team found a statue with an extremely unique morphological structure. It may be a simulation of Queen Tiye, wife of King Amenhotep III and grandmother of King Tutankhamun, excavated at her husband's funeral temple in Kom El-Hittan on the west bank of Luxor, Egypt.

Khaled El-Enany, Minister of Antiquities, visited the archaeological site above and judged the statue to be completely unique and very precious, filled with the mysterious historical value of the ancient era.

He told the Ahram Online news website that no plaster statues of any Tiye Queen were found before.

Not only that, Hourig Sourouzian, head of the European-Egyptian Collaborative Archeology Team, said the statue was well preserved, its texture and color were quite intact.

Archaeologists say that the statue was accidentally found when archaeologists lifted the lower part of the statue of King Amenhotep III buried in sand.

Sourouzian said: " The statue of Queen Tiye appears next to the left leg of the statue of King Amenhotep III. And this statue will be the next main focus of this excavation ."
