100% of viruses appear in March with foreign origin
According to statistics from Bkav's virus monitoring system, all 1,493 new viruses appeared in March are originated from foreign countries. Most of them are viruses originating from China, the US, Ukraine and Russia.
In 2007, out of 6,752 new viruses appeared in Vietnam, there were only 14 viruses originating from Vietnam (accounting for 0.2%).
With the Internet environment, the current spread of viruses does not depend on the geographical location of the countries. Users in Vietnam or in other countries also face the same risk of viruses, regardless of the source of the virus. Therefore, to effectively prevent viruses, users need to choose anti-virus software that can update the most recent virus patterns.
