Set up the adapter

Connect the power source and Kinect hub

Connect the Kinect sensor and the Kinect hub

Proceed to install the included USB into the Kinect hub

Connect the Xbox Kinect adapter to your Xbox One console

Insert the USB 3.0 cable into the Kinect USB port on the left to establish a connection.

  3.  Do not place the Xbox Kinect sensor and adapter directly on the console.
  4. When using Kinect, make sure that the adapter is not malfunctioning and interrupting communication. Check the adapter's power supply and reconnect the power if necessary.

The LED on the adapter will indicate whether there is a problem with the power connection. Orange indicates sleep mode and waiting for the controller to respond to the command. No color indicates no power to the device. And white indicates the adapter is working properly.

Connect Xbox Kinect to Windows PC

The way Xbox Kinect works with Windows PC is similar to when used with Xbox One. The Kinect adapter for Windows 10 PC is also compatible with Xbox One, but the Xbox Kinect adapter for Xbox One cannot be used with Windows PC.
