ScratchJR has also been redesigned with commands suitable for school-aged children when performing drag-and-drop operations. After becoming familiar with ScratchJR and grasping the basics, students can create their own programs, make lively characters, or even create games directly within ScratchJR.

Basic character movement guide in ScratchJR
Step 1:
After installing the ScratchJR application on your computer, launch the program. Then, click the Home button icon to access the main interface.
Step 2:
In this interface, click the plus icon to create your first program.
Step 3:
The program creation interface has three main sections:
- Stage: Located at the very top is where viewers can watch the show.
- Command Blocks: Right below the stage are command blocks, categorized by color. Each command block contains multiple commands.
- Program: A place to drag and drop commands to design character animations.
Step 4:
To make the cat move , first select the blue movement command block and drag it down to the program area . Then, continue tapping the block with your finger to watch the cat move on the stage.
Continue adding other migration blocks as desired.
Step 5:
Click on the yellow block of code , then click on the blue flag block of code and drag it down to the top of the program , before the movement blocks.
Then simply click on the flag at the top to start the program.
Step 6:
If you want to delete a move command , simply drag and drop the command from the program window into the blue command box above .
Step 7:
To change the stage background, click the image icon at the top.
Then you will see many background image options available for you to choose from to set for the stage.
Alternatively, tap the pen icon to draw your desired wallpaper. Tap the checkmark to save the wallpaper.
As a result, we have obtained the ScratchJR background image shown below.
Step 8:
To name the program you create in ScratchJR, click the yellow icon in the corner as shown below.
Next, we enter a name for the program and then press the 'v' button to save it .
When you return to the Home screen, you will see the program you created with the name you set. Continue by pressing the plus sign to create a new program.
