Facebook tricks are becoming more sophisticated

First, the fraudster steals a Facebook account that is far away or abroad. After that, they will chat with friends / relatives asking about health and work and then ask for a remittance from abroad. Do not know the other Facebook account has been attacked so victims believe and are willing to help.

Once the money has been agreed, the scammer will use a phone number from abroad (according to the survey, this is a phone number from Canada) to send a fake message from Western Union with the request for retrieval. Visit the SMS link and confirm to receive money from Western Union to the victim's phone number. But in fact, this is just a phishing site, but because I don't know this is a fake website, the victim entered the Internet banking account and password information and sent it to the fraudster.

Once the Internet banking information of the victim is available, the scammer uses it to perform transactions via VTC Pay online payment gateway and VNPAY payment gateway. After that, the scammer continued to chat with the victim requesting confirmation of OTP (this code is valid for 120 seconds and sent to the victim's phone number).

Finally, the scammer entered the OTP to complete the transaction, the victim was deducted from the bank account.
