Virtual money digging virus via Facebook Messenger appears from December 18, 2017. In just a short time, there were more than 12,600 computers in Vietnam with this new type of malicious code. Security experts recommend users need to be more careful because every 10 minutes, a new variant of the virtual money digging virus appears on Facebook Messenger. This makes it difficult for security software to detect malicious code.
Security experts said that in order to bypass security software, hackers have programmed the code to automatically generate new variants. Every 10 minutes a new variant of the virtual money code has been released to the Internet, so far more than 500 variants have appeared and there has been no sign of stopping.
These malware not only dig up illegal virtual money but also steal Facebook passwords. Currently, the latest malware variant hacked on the network not only has the ability to distribute via Facebook Messenger as in the first version but also has the ability to post to Groups.
This dangerous virus uses the victim's account to post a fake video containing malicious code with content like 'woow hot video' with xxxx being 4 random numbers. Hitting the curious psychology of users, the number of victims of this malicious code is increasing rapidly exponentially.
If you open a fake file, the malicious code will take over the computer and take advantage of it to dig virtual money. Computer infected with malicious code is always in a state of lag and almost impossible to use.
