Warning: Google Chrome is experiencing serious security errors, patch updates right away
Recently, the Department of Information Security (Ministry of Information and Communications) issued a warning to Vietnamese users about a serious security error (CVE-2019-13720) currently exists on Chrome browser before version 78.0 .3904.87, affects most operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS and Linux).
This serious security error was recorded during the Department's monitoring of information on cyberspace and cooperation and sharing of information security at home and abroad with large organizations.
If this vulnerability is successfully exploited, the bad guys can insert and execute remote code automatically. Bad guys can trick users into visiting malicious websites or install exploit codes on user websites or visit, and expose users' devices to attacks.
After learning about the existence of this vulnerability, Google quickly released a new version of Chrome (code 78.0.3904.87) to patch. At the same time, the company also issued warnings to billions of users around the world, so it quickly updated the patch to avoid unfortunate incidents.
Prior to the above incident, the Information Security Department sent a notice requesting the immediate implementation of handling measures to agencies, organizations and individuals.
As of September 2019, Chrome browser is accounting for 61.13% market share, ranking at the first position in the ranking of the most popular mobile web browsers today.
