Villains in movies are not allowed to use iPhone

Villains are not allowed to use iPhones in movie scenes, which is Apple's new rule, said Rian Johnson, director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Apple has strict regulations on brand image, logo and its products. The company has a whole set of guidelines for third parties who want to use their intellectual property.

As a rule, only when Apple products are displayed in the best light, in a manner or context that reflects to the benefit of its products, the filmmakers are allowed to use. Apple also doesn't allow bad guys in movies using iPhones.

According to Rian Johnson, Apple's new rules will cause the character routes in the film to be revealed from the beginning. The audience can recognize the unpredictable details through the bad guys do not own iPhone, who use the iPhone from the beginning is definitely a good person.

The director said that in movies, sponsorship and advertising often occur, but not all characters can use technology and want to use whatever they want.

For example, in Knives Out, actor Jamie Lee Curtis takes on a protagonist and uses an iPhone. Knives Out is considered a film with unpredictable situations but everything can be known in advance thanks to the iPhone.

In 2002, when the iPhone was not yet born, Wired magazine also revealed that in Fox's 24 series, the heroes and good people all use the MacBook while all the villains use Windows computers.
