Users want to return Galaxy S25 due to worrying problem

Immediately after the Galaxy S25 series was delivered to customers, concerns arose about the product's ability to overheat.

Reports suggest that the three Snapdragon 8 Elite smartphones before the Galaxy S25 series have been experiencing overheating issues. According to tech expert Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy S25 series is no exception. He said that while the Galaxy S25 Ultra only experienced minor heating issues, the standard version had more serious issues.

Galaxy S25 series not free from overheating problem?

The Snapdragon 8 Elite promises around 40% faster performance than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is used in the Galaxy S24 series. However, performance improvements often come at the cost of overheating. While the Galaxy S25 series features a 40% larger vapor chamber for improved heat dissipation, it appears that this isn't enough to prevent overheating.

Things became even clearer when, just one day after the product hit shelves (February 7), social media was flooded with complaints from users about this issue. One user on Reddit shared: 'Anyone else find their Galaxy S25 Ultra quite hot during normal use and extremely hot when charging?'. Many others also said that their devices got hot even when performing light tasks like browsing social media.

One user expressed concern: 'My device is so hot that I can feel it through the case. I upgraded from the Galaxy S24 due to the heat and now I may not go for the Galaxy S25 if the update doesn't fix this issue.' Meanwhile, another said their device almost burned their hand when they first turned it on.

The problem caused many Galaxy S25 users to want to return the device immediately after owning it.

However, not all users have experienced overheating, suggesting that the issue may not be widespread. Some have said that it is normal for a phone to heat up during setup, although many people have still experienced this after using the device for days.

A review of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra models by tech expert PhoneArena showed that they do not suffer from overheating. However, with the number of complaints increasing, Samsung may have to quickly release an update to address this issue.
