Users need to transfer data from Samsung Cloud to OneDrive before October 1
In September 2020, Samsung announced that users would not be able to use some features of Samsung Cloud. Initially, Samsung planned to end Gallery Sync, Drive, and paid features by August 31, 2021. However, the company decided to delay the end to November 2021.
In an email to customers, Samsung information:
'To ensure customers have enough time to transfer or download data, we decided to delay the end date of the features by 3 months from the date notified. On November 30, 2021, Glallery Sync and Drive for My Files will no longer be supported by Samsung Cloud, your data will be deleted'.
If you are still using Samsung Cloud, you must transfer your data to Microsoft OneDrive by October 1. Although you cannot transfer data from Samsung Cloud to Microsoft OneDrive after that date, Samsung still allows you to download all of your data. all data from the Cloud.
In addition to discontinuing existing Samsung Cloud Gallery Sync and Drive features, Samsung will also automatically cancel all paid storage plans from October 1. These features will end on November 30.
It's important to note, Samsung will erase all your data after November 30, and you won't be able to download it anymore.
You can easily transfer data to OneDrive by opening the Samsung Cloud app and doing: More -> Settings -> Link with OneDrive or selecting Link with OneDrive in the Gallery Settings menu on your phone.
