The Great Pyramid of Giza in the cluster of 3 pyramids was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu , one of the greatest Pharaohs of ancient Egypt. This is the largest pyramid in Egypt and is the oldest and only one surviving in the seven wonders of the ancient world .

By X-ray techniques using Muon radioactive particles, infrared heat measurement, 3D image simulations, the researchers discovered two mysterious rooms inside the pyramid built in 2686. - 2181 BC under King Khufu. These modern technologies do not affect the ancient ruins.

They found a room about 105m high on the northeast side of the pyramid, the other facing north. The exact shape, size, and location of these two mysterious rooms will be further studied by scientists.

Muon particles are formed by cosmic rays from deep space outside the Solar System interacting with the Earth's atmosphere.

They continuously hit the earth's surface at the same speed as light. The estimated one minute an average of 10,000 Muon particles landed on our planet.

Muon particles have greater energy than X-rays, so they easily pass through empty spaces but will be strongly absorbed or deflected by dense materials, typically pyramid stones. Therefore, scientists used data from Muon to create a map of the pyramid.
