Two ways to update the 280 characters tweet on Twitter
As you know, Twitter only allows writing a tweet of up to 140 characters long. But they are experimenting with double-digit numbers so you can express more.
As you know, Twitter only allows writing a tweet of up to 140 characters long. But they are experimenting with double-digit numbers so you can express more.
During testing, only selected users can use this feature. But with just a few tips below, you can also write more on Twitter.
Please note that there is more than one way but this is probably the simpler and easier way, especially for Chrome users.
Write tweets with 280 characters by editing the snippet
- Go to Tweetdeck at tweetdeck.twitter.com https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/
- Go to the View section , hover over the Developer item on the menu and select Developer Tools.
- Find the Sources and click the arrow below to select Snippets.

- Once you've opened Snippets, click New Snippet and paste the code below https://gist.github.com/Zemnmez/ffb5449d873d5407c7172534b762ae46 into the empty window on the right.

- Click the Play button below the snippet.
- That's it, now you can comfortably tweet with 280 characters.
