Toshiba Corp announced on Monday that it will start production in the fourth quarter of this year with a 2.5-inch hard drive product line with storage capacity up to 320GB exclusively for laptops. .
Currently the manufacturer has not announced the reference price of this new product line.
The 320GB hard drive for the laptop is one of Toshiba's latest MKxx52SX branded product lines. This is also a 2.5-inch hard drive for the first laptop to reach storage capacity of up to 320GB.
It was put into production with a 320GB hard drive and there were two other products in the same line: 80GB and 250GB hard drives. All new Toshiba hard drive products will use the SATA connection interface with 3Gbps data transfer rate.
Over time, the storage capacity of hard drives has increased rapidly to meet the growing demand of consumers, especially with the appearance of high-resolution video content.
