This can be seen as the new direction that Toshiba offers for wireless charging technology is quite new. With wireless charging, users will avoid the cumbersome with charging cord. Restricting the need for charging ports will help manufacturers create more products with higher waterproof features.
The Toshiba TC7763WBG chip offers two features that can make them easily commercialized in the future. First, it complies with Qi wireless charging standard, which is compatible with most of today's most popular devices and chargers. Although there is no unified wireless charging standard available today. More important is the ability to provide output power of up to 5 watts, on par with the power of wired chargers, which helps reduce charging time.
Toshiba said the company's new chips began to go into mass production and hoped to be available in devices soon.
