Weighing only 979 grams, the Portege R600 uses the Intel GS45 mainboard, a 1.4 GHz Core 2 Duo processor, compared to 1.2 GHz for the R500.

The integrated Intel GMA 4500 graphics card allows for faster processing, the camera is equipped with a webcam and the SmartFace software supports face recognition when logged in. In addition, the new device is also equipped with HDMI connector. This model is compact and can compete with rivals with equipment.

Toshiba NB100 has 8.9-inch screen, integrated graphics card, 120 GB HDD, machine running on Windows XP Home Edition operating system. The difference with netbooks on the market is that USB ports can charge other electronic devices even when the computer is turned off.

The weakness of Toshiba's first netbook model is the hard-to-use keyboard, smaller than competitors like the Dell Mini 9 or HP Mini 1000.
