According to statistics of App Annie application analysis company, as of December 15, 2018, the amount of app downloads on App Store and Google Play Store has reached 113 billion, up 10% compared to last year. Application spending also increased sharply to 76 billion USD, up 20% compared to 2017.

In 2018, each user spends about 3 hours per day on application usage, an increase of 10% compared to 2017 and 20% compared to 2016.

The 5 most downloaded games on the App Store and Play Store are Helix Jump, Subway Surfers, PUBG Mobile, Free Fire and Love Balls. What makes many people surprised is that the hot game in the past year is PUBG Mobile only ranked third, while Helix Jump, a less popular game is the most downloaded game.

Topping the list of the top grossing apps on the App Store and Google Play Store stores, App Annie statistics include: Netflix, Tinder, Tencent Video and Pandora Music. Fate / Grand Order, Honor of Kings, Monster Strike, Candy Crush Saga and Lineage M are the top games in the game application list.
